Vasectomy is a surgical procedure for males for permanent birth control. Some refer to this as male sterilisation.
During the procedure, the vas deferens (tubes which carry sperm) are sealed to prevent sperm from entering into the ejaculate.
Whilst vasectomy is a minor procedure, for most men, it is the first procedure of their life, on a delicate part of their anatomy. So we know it can be a big deal. Also, most men needing vasectomies are juggling busy lives, with work, family and play.
That is why I do all my vasectomies under a general anaesthetic, through barely perceptible micro incisions, of only a few mm. We can usually schedule your procedure on a Friday, to minimise time off work and help a speedy return to your normal activities.
